Lee paying the penalty

Brentford goalkeeper Richard Lee is trying to capitalise on the attention his penalty shoot-out heroics in the Carling Cup against Everton last month have brought. He is also looking for a move away from Griffin Park. The 28 year-old has attributed his success to visiting a hypnotist, Dave Sabat.

Indeed he has been to see Sabat before each of the four cup matches he has played this season — and been on the winning side in each game. However it has not earned him a regular starting place. “I’m confused by the situation,” Lee said. “I’m playing the best football of my life and find myself on the bench in League One.”
